I'm back!! (not in the UK)

Ok, so I have had a few problems grasping this blog thing. I can came over and had a few things to write and loaded up my blog page and it had kindly converted into Korean language for me. So I huffed and I puffed and then I gave up. But Perseverance is something I have learnt to tolerate a little more in my time out here. And guess what it worked. So here you go I'm back and will be updating now and then. Feel free to come inside and comment.

The picture you see here is my first taste of Korean alcohol. It was a Morgan's Spiced with Coca-Cola. So not very Korean!

A New Start, Starting Soon......

So, It's the 30th July and I have around 3 weeks till I hang up my boots and head for somewhere I know very little about......
Seoul, South Korea.
Before I signed the contract and began researching South Korea's capital, I knew nothing.
To me it was the birth place of Tottenham Hotspur left back, Young-Po-Lee. Still with football in mind, there was a very successful FIFA World Cup held there in 2002 - that's it! I KNOW nothing - And that's why I'm going there!! To explore...... to find out.

I'm at the thinking stage of "What shall I take?? what do I REALLY need??" One thing that keeps cropping up in tips here and there is the lack of b-o-drant in Korea.... Which is a little worrying considering the heat and humidity at times..... so I'm preparing for a lot of smelly people, but i'm sure it will be a unique smell and one that I will slowly begin to admire and accept as apart of my experience!!! (I wonder??)

I have also been advised to take a 'fitted bed sheet'!! (Ok then)

Music!!! now for me this is going to be my first goal when I land in Seoul. I'm taking my laptop, which obviously has all i need in terms of beats and lyrics. BUT, the speakers on this bad boy aren't anything to whisper about!! Therefore, I will be heading straight to the Techno markets to get myself some speakers of some sort!!

But that's jumping the gun - I still have 3 weeks to learn some English teaching techniques, say my goodbyes, shave my beard and of course take some deep breaths.........................
